Community Services Block Grant

Align administers Community Service Block Grant funds for Carbon, Crook, Niobrara and Weston Counties. Individuals and families in these counties can apply for assistance. During this COVID-19 pandemic, the highest priority for assistance is for rent or mortgage payments, food, and medical supplies/prescriptions. There is some flexibility on the Income Guidelines during this pandemic. If you have any questions, please call the phone number on the application and leave a message. Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) & Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP)

The LIEAP application period for assistance with heating bills closed February 29, 2020.  Wyoming will be receiving emergency, supplemental funds appropriated in the CARES Act to help prevent, prepare for, and respond to the impacts of COVID-19.  Information regarding Wyoming’s allocation and how it will be distributed will be shared as soon as we know the requirements.  If you lost your job or your hours were reduced, please complete an application NOW.  Apply online lieapwyo.org  If you are at disconnect please send in a copy of your disconnect notice NOW.

At this time, the LIEAP special situation (crisis) season is being extended from April 15, 2020, to at least May 31, 2020.  Special situations that qualify you are at a disconnect, if you need a deposit if you need one-time additional fuel (propane, wood, coal, oil) if you need a propane tank set or rental, OR if you own your home and your furnace is broken.

Weatherization applications are accepted year-round.  We encourage you to apply NOW.  If you are selected for Weatherization, it will help to reduce your home energy cost burden.  Apply online lieapwyo.org
